Pro Career:

  • 2005: played in all 16 games for the Buffalo Bills. Rushed for 161 yards on 15 attempts, caught 17 passes for 118 yards.

College

  • Began his collegiate career at Texas Tech…transferred to Alabama in 2001, sitting out the season under NCAA transfer rules
  • In 22 games at Texas Tech, he gained 881 yards and nine touchdowns on 167 carries, 353 yards on 54 catches
  • As a member of the Crimson Tide, he rushed 410 times for 2,288 yards and 19 touchdowns, caught 45 passes for 389 yards and a score, returned 59 punts for 479 yards (8.1 avg) and a touchdown and gained 154 yards on eight kickoff returns (19.3 avg), finishing with 3,310 all-purpose yards…for his collegiate career, he carried 577 times for 3,169 yards and 28 touchdowns, made 99 catches for 742 yards and one score, returned 60 punts for 485 yards (8.1 avg), including a touchdown and gained 263 yards on 13 kickoff returns (20.2 avg) as he amassed 4,659 all purpose yards
  • In 2003, All-SEC second-team selection by the league's coaches and the Associated Press
  • Semi-finalist for the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation's top running back
  • Led the SEC in rushing with 1,367 yards and 14 touchdowns on 280 carries
  • Averaged 132.6 all-purpose yards per game
  • His 1,724 all-purpose yards rank fifth on Alabama's season-record chart
  • In 2002, was part of the team's rotation at halfback, playing in every game…started in three games and led the team with 130 carries for 921 yards (7.1 avg) and five touchdowns…caught 21 passes for 228 yards…returned 40 punts for 346 yards and five kickoffs for 91 yards…gained 1,586 all-purpose yards…sat out the 2001 season after transferring from Texas Tech…in 2000, played in every game for Texas Tech…finished second on the team with 55 carries for 223 yards and two scores…had 48 receptions for 299 yards…in 1999, played in ten games…started four games for Texas Tech as he set a school freshman season-record with 658 yards on 112 carries with seven touchdowns.

  • Graduated from Alabama in December 2003 with a BS in marketing

  • Led all rushers in class 4A in Texas as a senior with 2,121 yards, scoring 27 touchdowns…ran for over 2,000 yards in three consecutive seasons, totaling 7,710 career yards, the second-best Class 4A total in history

  • Named Gatorade Circle of Champions Southwest Region Player of the Year, Class 4A Player of the Year by the Associated Press, Class 4A All-State by Texas Sports Writers Association and was called one of the top 100 players in the state by the Dallas Morning News, Ft. Worth Star-Telegram and Houston Chronicle
  • Named honorable mention All-USA by USA Today as a junior
  • Four-year All-District selection and three-time District MVP
  • Named first-team All-State as a junior and senior and All-USA by USA Today as a senior…also lettered in track.
